Tech giant Apple has reportedly sent out invites for an event on September 15 titled ‘Time Flies’. The name could hint at an Apple Watch launch, alongside the reveal of iPad Air model, all of which have been tipped in the recent past. While the company usually launches its iPhone series in September, the iPhone 12 series this year is expected to be delayed.
At its last earnings results, Apple had announced there would be a few weeks delay to the release of its new iPhone models this year, owing to supply chain issues because of COVID-19. Experts are now predicting an October launch for the new iPhone series, even as recent leaks tipped the September launch of new iPad Air and Apple Watch models.
The ‘Time Flies’ Apple event on September 15 is scheduled to be livestreamed from 10am PDT (10:30pm IST). Models from these lineups were recently spotted certified on EEC. The Apple Watch Series 6 model is expected to replace the affordable Apple Watch Series 3.
As for the iPhone launches, the iPhone 12 series could see four models, including the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, with only the last expected to support faster millimetre-wave 5G connectivity, and the other iPhone 12 models expected to offer sub-6GHz 5G connectivity.
