Carrying two mobile phones – No more a great deal
Have you ever seen people wander on the streets with two phones and wonder, ‘Why do they have two phones?’
You’re not the only one. In fact, in the era of smartphones bundled with all possible features – dual sims, great batteries, excellent camera setup, and upgraded operating systems – it seems a bit redundant to carry two phones. After all, wouldn’t it be double the hassle, with charging two phones, carrying two phones, getting two different carriers, paying two bills…you get the drift.
However, it’s possible that people carry two phones because one has been thrust upon them by their office and they need to make business calls. Or maybe one of their carriers doesn’t offer a great network in one area, so they keep the other phone for that purpose. Maybe they don’t have Bluetooth headphones, and their second phone has a headphone jack to cater to their musical needs (We’re looking at you Apple and Google). It is also possible that they are a smartphone enthusiast and like using multiple phones at any given point of time.
No matter the reason, the point is that they like carrying two phones. If you are one of those dual-life people and are scouting for a second phone yourself, look no further.
We bring to you the three best ‘second’ phones that you can buy, especially if you’re looking for a simple substitute and don’t want to invest in premium flagships.
We know you’ll probably say, ‘But that’s a damn expensive phone!’. But that held true when it was launched one and a half years ago. Today, Apple has already put this phone to its refurbished sales program, which means you could buy them at cheaper rates. You can check out many third-party vendors who might offer unlocked versions of the handset. The phone is definitely worth every penny with its Face ID technology, full-screen design, spectacular camera features, and even to just show off as a second phone.
Samsung Galaxy S8
Now that the Galaxy S10 is out, the Galaxy S8 generation of phones will be even cheaper. With a 5.8-inch display or a 6.2-inch display on the Galaxy S8+, the phone is a great buy for someone looking for a phone to watch great videos. Plus, the exterior of the phone is as beautiful as the latest generation of the Galaxy series, and this one has an AMOLED Infinity Display. The Snapdragon 835 processor may not be the most powerful, but it’s still great for practically everything you need on a daily basis.
Google Pixel 2
With the Google Pixel 3 out already, and the Pixel 3a slated for release sometime this year, the Pixel 2 prices have gone down considerably across both its models. These handsets offer the best among camera phones currently available in the market, making it a good second phone to buy if you’re looking to practice some photography, or take dope Instagram shots to flaunt. Additionally, it has two more years of software support, plus an upgrade to Android 9 Pie was already issued earlier in 2019.
