Facebook Is All Set to Give Tough Competition to Zoom

Messenger Rooms

Video calling applications are highly popular at the moment, with Zoom as the leader of the pack. Now, tech giant Facebook wants more from the video calling industry and has launched a new tool called Messenger Rooms.

The company explains in a post, that the new tool isn’t a separate application but rather a feature that can be started from the existing Facebook app.

More importantly, in the contest for eyeballs with popular video calling app Zoom, other people can join this tool by Facebook without a Facebook account, and there’s assistance for up to 50 people. And you can operate around with virtual settings too, something like Zoom app.

Facebook says it’ll also be adding the new tool Messenger Rooms integration to Instagram and WhatsApp. This way an individual be able to jump into a video chat from whatever application or device they happen to be on.

This arises from the combined Windows and macOS Messenger app that Facebook started last month. The tech giant is seeing more and more online traffic across its multiple apps and wants to make sure communicating is as easy as possible.

Looking at the situation of how we’re all using video communication much more nowadays, Facebook has also restored the “Live With” feature for livestream shows, where two people can connect on one livestream. The tool was removed last year as it didn’t add sufficient value at that time.

This new exciting tool by Facebook is surely going to give you yet another way of maintaining a connection with friends and family while we’re all separated from each other.
