After Samsung, Motorola, and Huawei, Nokia seems to be joining the league of the foldable phone, which will be launched by the end of 2020.
As per the reports, HMD Global will be launching Nokia foldable smartphone, which resembles the Motorola Moto Razr while offering a clamshell design. The report also suggests that the launch may extend to the first quarter of 2021. Currently, there are no specs revealed about the device.
It’s not surprising that HMD Global wants to join the foldable party. It has already offered several smartphones in the market, all of which apply some trendy design and features. Nokia 9 is probably the unique one among all of them with its unusual take on multiple cameras.
But, that’s the point where problems for HMD started. Nokia 9 is the phone Nokia has failed to follow up. Sources also state that the brand has ditched its plan to launch Nokia 9.1 as the Snapdragon 855+ will already be dated by the time it debuts.
Moreover, there are also rumors about HMD dropping the light’s camera in its next flagship. Nokia 9.2 will be launched in the second half of 2020 and will offer Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor – Snapdragon 865 chipset. Reports also suggest that the handset will sport a bezel-less display and offer wireless charging support. It is also expected to feature a 32MP camera in the front and a 48MP primary camera on the back.
