Nokia 9 PureView Launch
HMD Global is finally launching its flagship smartphone for the Indian market. The Nokia 9 PureView with a Penta-camera is all set to come to Indian shores on June 6. The Nokia India event will begin at 11.30am IST in New Delhi.
The company has already been rolling out a host of teasers running up to the launch. The phone is teased to sport a dedicated Google Assistant button to easily wake up the voice assistant. The company is using hashtag #GetAhead across its social media platforms that suggest that it might have some more unannounced, compelling features on the device. Nokia is also hosting a global event in Italy on June 6, and the same phone might launch internationally as well.
The key feature of this new smartphone is obviously the much-awaited Penta-camera setup, a first-of-its-kind in the industry. The Penta-lens camera setup will have three 12-megapixel monochrome sensors and two 12-megapixels RGB sensors with Zeiss optics. The device will also have a 20 MP front camera. The Nokia 9 PureView can shoot RAW images, claimed to reproduce better dynamic range than most other HDR phones, and is said to work on 1,200 layers of depth while shooting in portrait mode.
The Android One-based smartphone has Android 9-Pie OS, 5.99-inch Quad-HD+ (1440×2960 pixels) POLED display, powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The phone is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage.
The Nokia 9 PureView supports fingerprint sensor and packs in a 3,320mAh battery with wireless charging provided with 3.5mm jack space. The comfortable handy device has a smooth touch that gives a waterproof gorilla support display, without worrying about water getting inside the device.
The Nokia 9 PureView was first launched at the MWC earlier this year. The expected price range of the device could fall somewhere around the Rs.50,000 mark.
