HTC Unveils HTC Wildfire R70 with Triple Rear Camera for Entry-Level Segment

HTC has been silent for quite a time, but it made an unexpected announcement on February 28, 2020. The Company announced the launch of a new smartphone Wildfire R70 with entry-level specifications. The smartphone features Android 9.0 Pie, HD+ display and much more. Currently, the device has been launched only in India and Thailand but the brand will share it with the international market shortly.

The Wildfire R70, said to be the successor of HTC Wildfire X features a 6.53-inch HD+ display with 720*1560 pixel resolutions and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes powered by an octa-core processor MediaTek Helio P23 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. For pictures and videos, you get 32GB memory with a card-slot that can be used to extend memory up to 2TB.

The smartphone also sports a triple rear camera setup that comprises with 16MP primary sensor, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, you get an 8MP selfie camera that clicks clear pictures day and night. It also enables camera modes that include beauty mode, AR stickers, and more.

It runs on Android 9.0-Pie and comes with hybrid dual SIM functionality. It is backed by 4000mAh of battery power that supports 10W fast charging. You also get 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS on the connectivity end.

5G Phone to Launch This Year

Earlier this month, HTC confirmed that it will launch its first 5G phone. As per the reports, the brand is working on the 5G phone and it will be launched later this year.
