Global smartphone behemoth Motorola is all set to host the launch event for its flagship phones – the Motorola Edge and Edge +. Just last week, the tech company had shared a teaser for the launch with a short six-second clip. Motorola is expected to livestream the launch of the two flagships, given the current coronavirus pandemic. Motorola’s blog states that the stream will begin at 11am CDT (9:30pm IST) on April 22, and will also likely show up on the official blog. Expected specifications

The new Motorola Edge+ is slated to come with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) display with 440ppi pixel density. The phone could be powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM. The RAM variant is possibly one of the multiple configurations that the Edge+ will come in.

As for the optics, the flagship device is expected to come with triple rear cameras, of which the primary one may be a 108-megapixel sensor. A leaked, front panel image has already stated that the Motorola Edge+ will have a single hole-punch camera on the top left corner of the screen. The battery capacity is rumoured to be a massive 5,170mAh, and it may also come with Android 10 out of the box.

On the other hand, the Motorola Edge is reportedly going to be a toned-down version of the Edge+, but with the same screen specifications including size, resolution, and pixel density. In addition, the Edge will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, and 6GB of RAM.

According to yet another live image of the Motorola Edge, there will be a triple rear camera setup, and the primary sensor is expected to have a 64-megapixel lens, with the secondary being a 16-megapixel one, and the tertiary shooter having an 8-megapixel sensor.

Both the devices are expected to feature curved screens and curved back panels.
