Motorola has unveiled the Moto G 5G in the UK and Europe . Touted as the cheapest 5G phone, the Motorola Moto G was launched at £349 (roughly Rs 29,000). Earlier, Motorola had unveiled the flagship 5G device, Motorola Edge+ and the mellow down version of the smartphone-Motorola Edge. Now with the Moto G 5G, it aims to provide the 5G experience to buyers at a much cheaper price. The company has not revealed whether the smartphone will be launched in India or not. Motorola sells the base variant of the Moto G 5G at 349 (roughly 29,000) for the 4 GB+64GB variants while the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant costs 399 (roughly Rs 33,730).

The Motorola Moto G 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ punch-hole display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Moto G 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which can expandable up to 1TB. As per the statement made by the company, “Moto g 5G plus is built for both 4G and 5G networks, so you’re ready for anything. Get more bandwidth, lower latency, and reduced lag time so you never miss a thing. Feel the fast response time in everything you do, from browsing the web to watching a video with the 5G-optimized Qualcomm® Snapdragon 765 processor.”

Moto G 5G houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W USB-C TurboPower fast-charging. The company says that the smartphone can last for two full days without charging. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack placed beside the USB-C charging port.

The smartphone runs on Android 10 out of the box and the company claims that it has no clunky software skins and no duplicate apps. A fingerprint sensor has been placed on the side of the phone and there is also a dedicated button for Google Assistant.

The Motorola Moto G 5G plus features a squarish camera island at the rear as opposed to the vertical camera placements that we find in almost all the smartphones these days. The camera houses quad-camera sensors which comprises of a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
On the front, it features a 16-megapixel Quad Pixel technology. It can capture an ultra-wide-angle selfie with the help of the lens that has been installed on the front.

The Moto G 5G Plus has a large 5,000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower fast charging. The company touts at two-day battery life on the phone. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and connectivity options include USB Type-C port, 5G SA/NSA, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and more. The Moto G 5G Plus weighs about 207 grams and measures 168x74x9mm and it weighs 207 grams. Sensors on board include accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient light, sensor hub, and e-compass.
