Global smartphone maker OnePlus has today unveiled its TVC, calling out fans across the world to tune into its launch event on May 14.
The TVC ‘Here is Our 7’ showcases the power of the number 7 across domains, and correlates the seven wonders of the world, seven sins, and more to the new phone. Depicted as an icon of perfection and beauty, the new OnePlus 7 looks promising.
The video has already garnered more than 35,000 views in just a few hours of its launch on the official OnePlus Twitter handle. The hashtag #OnePlus7Series is trending on the top spot on the social media platform.
On the official OnePlus India Twitter handle, the company has also launched an e-invite for fans to win a chance to attend the launch. The event is slated to happen at the Bengaluru Exhibition Centre at 8.15 pm on 14th May.
Thanks to many leaks, we do have some idea about what we can expect from the new OnePlus 7 series. The smartphone is expected to be the brand’s first ‘notch-less’ device, thanks to its pop-up selfie camera. According to some rumours, the phone is also expected to pack a triple camera setup, with 48MP, 20MP, and 16MP lenses. There is no word on the price yet but it is expected to cross the price threshold of its predecessor, the OnePlus 6T.
As far as display is concerned, the new phone is expected to feature a 6.4″ (16.26 cm) display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and run on Android v9.0 (Pie) operating system. The device is also expected to be powered by Octa-core (2.84 GHz, Single core, Kryo 485 + 2.42 GHz, Tri-core, Kryo 485 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 485) processor paired with 6 GB of RAM. As far as power is concerned, the smartphone reportedly will be backed by a 3700 mAh battery.
