Both the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro are going to receive the latest build of Oxygen OS starting May 29. The OTA will bring the phones up to Google’s May security patch, and the update brings Oxygen OS to 10.3.3 for India.
The changelog will include new Dolby Atmos integration with the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z, optimized volume adjustment, improved battery life and system stability, and general fixes and patches. The update also includes two new camera features. Moreover, both the phones will be able to record 720p video at up to 960fps slow-motion, but limited to 10 seconds worth of recording time. The camera app also gains “stain detection” which will notify the user that the camera might need lens cleaning.
All these updated features were included in a recent build of the Oxygen OS Open Beta for both the 7T and 7T Pro. However, they weren’t mentioned in the changelog of the Beta.
The other notable feature on the Oxygen OS Beta build was 4K recording with the ultrawide camera, but it has not been mentioned in the notes.
To check for the update on your devices, head to the Settings > System > System updates. OnePlus usually stages their rollouts so you probably won’t be able to pull the update right away. The build is coming to global and EU variants as well, with a build number of 10.0.11.
