Realme is all set to launch the C12 and C15 in India on August 18, the company revealed through teasers that were on its website. Both the devices are supposed to come with a 6,000mAh battery. The Realme C12 had also surfaced on benchmark site Geekbench and the certification portal of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) earlier in August. The Realme C15 is already available in Indonesia.
According to a media invite sent by Realme, the C12 and C15 will both launch in India through a virtual event that will take place at 12:30pm on August 18. In addition to this, Realme has created a couple of microsites to give a glimpse at both the devices.
Expected pricing in India
The Realme C12 is expected to come at a price slightly higher than the Realme C11 that was launched in India last month at Rs. 7,499 for the single 2GB RAM + 32GB storage configuration.
The price for the Realme C15 in India is expected to be mostly in line with what was announced in Indonesia last month. The phone comes at IDR 1,999,000 (approximately Rs. 10,100) for the base 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while its 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration is priced at IDR 2,199,000 (approximately Rs. 11,100). The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option carries a price tag of IDR 2,499,000 (approximately Rs. 12,700).
Expected specifications of Realme C12
According to the teasers on Realme’s website, the C12 is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup, paired with an LED flash. The phone will also have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Plus, it includes the 6,000mAh battery that is rumoured to deliver 57 days of standby time, 46 hours of voice calling, or 60 hours of music playback on a single charge. If one were to look at details on Geekbench, the Realme C12 could come with at least 3GB RAM and the octa-core MediaTek MT6765G (Helio P35) SoC, running Android 10.
Expected specifications of Realme C15
Realme’s teasers of the C15 show its quad rear camera setup and 6,000mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge support. Rest of its specifications are likely to be identical to those of its Indonesian version. The Indonesia version of the Realme C15 runs on Android 10 with Realme UI and has a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, paired with up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. It also comes with microSD card support for storage expansion.
As for optics, the device has a quad rear camera setup that includes a 13MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor. The setup also has a 2MP monochrome sensor and a 2MP sensor. For selfies, there is an 8MP front camera. Realme has also provided a Micro-USB port for charging on the Indonesian version of the Realme C15.
