Sony Xperia 5 II Renders Surface Online

Renders of what is allegedly the Sony Xperia 5 II have surfaced online, showing the smartphone in black and grey colours. The renders were shared by a tipster on Twitter. The phone was also reportedly spotted on Geekbench flaunting octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. The listing shows that the phone will run on Android 10 out-of-the-box, and has SO-52A as model number, along with sporting a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Apart from the leaked colour options on the renders, the images also show dual front speakers as well as DualShock 4 controller attached to the phone with a clip. There’s a photo of the Game Mode settings as well as of a Sony-branded protective case with a built-in kickstand.

Rumoured specifications of Sony Xperia 5 II 

According to previous leaked reports, the Sony Xperia 5 II will sport a 6.1-inch full-HD+ HDR OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch-sensing rate. The display will offer a 21:9 aspect ratio, called CinemaWide, and the smartphone will come with 5G connectivity. The phone could carry a 4,000mAh capacity battery with a fast charging technology. 

As for optics, the smartphone could feature a triple rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera that offers a 124-degree field-of-view, and another 12-megapixel sensor paired with a telephoto lens having 3x optical zoom. However, we don’t have any information yet on the selfie camera. 

Sony Mobile has teased an Xperia product launch for September 17, 2020 at 12:30pm IST, which will be streamed live on their Facebook page and YouTube.
