The Iconic Foldable Moto Razr 2019 Is Finally Launched

The all-new folding flip Moto Razr is here setting the world on fire. The series of leaks and rumours in the past showcased that the Razr looks captivating whether it is folded or unfolded. The new Moto Razr will take away your breath for a moment with its impeccable design, packed with two screens- one is the main display where the phone is unfolded and the other is the small screen when the device is folded. The main screen of the Moto Razr has very minimal bezels on the sides with a wide-notch on the front.

The gorgeous device carries a price tag of $1500 that roughly translates to Rs 1,08,273. After the global launch, Motorola India confirmed that the device will be hitting the Indian market soon. Other information like the launch date is yet unknown but we can expect that it will happen real soon. We can assume that the company wants to supersede the fame of Samsung Galaxy Fold that was recently launched in India. Motorola India has already floated the registration page for the Razr in India and that gives a hint at an Indian launch within a few weeks or months.

Moto Razr Killer Specifications

In the case of the specifications, the device is a concoction of two screens, one is positioned inside and the other outside. The unfolded part of the phone which is inside sports a flexible pOLED display that measures 6.2-inches in size. The screen offers a 21:9 CinemaVision aspect ratio that resembles the previously launched Motorola smartphones. On the outside folded stage, there’s a 2.7-inch gOLED display that offers an aspect ratio of 4:3. The Moto Razr also includes a fingerprint sensor on the bottom.

Unlike the recently launched foldable phones like the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X, the Moto Razr looks like one of those old iconic clamshell Razr phones when folded. When folded the Quick View display shows you notifications and lets users take selfies. The most exciting part is that one can take a selfie by using the main 16-megapixel camera in the folded state.

The Moto Razr allows users to perform all activities from making calls to sending messages and emails in the unfolded state but it has certain limitations when folded. When folded, the Moto Razr permits users to check notifications on the “Quick View” display. The Quick View display also gives freedom to the users to take calls, respond to messages via quick replies and simultaneously control music. If you opt for further interaction with a notification, the phone will ask you to open the main display where it will pick up from the last point similar to an app continuity. The company has confirmed that the process is seamless.

The phone includes one more 5MP camera inside when unfolded.

The Moto Razr draws power from Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Moto Razr packs a 2510mAh battery paired with 15W quick charging support. On the software front, the Razr runs Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.
