The ROG Phone 3 Is Set to Launch on July 22

Asus has been teasing the ROG Phone 3 for some time now. The good news is that now the company has put out a date for the device’s official release. Asus had earlier stated that it will launch the ROG Phone 3 in July in China, by partnering with Tencent for its release. And now fresh news coming in suggests that the Asus ROG Phone 3 will launch on July 22 as a part of an online-only event.

Asus has already sent out event invitations of its ROG 2020 Game Changer launch event on July 22. The ROG Phone 3 will be launched as a part of this online event, which will kick off at 8:30pm IST.

Because of it being leaked multiple times in the past, we have a fair idea of the features and specifications of the device. In fact, a live image of the Asus ROG Phone 3 leaked earlier tipped that the phone’s design would be similar to the ROG Phone 2. It is also rumoured to have a triple camera setup at the back with a 64-megapixel primary camera, and could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC.

According to a sighting at certification website TENAA, the ROG Phone 3 would sport a 6.59-inch display with 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate. It also indicated that the device would come in three RAM variants of 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, along with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB internal storage options. The Asus ROG Phone 3 is also tipped to pack a big 6,000mAh battery and run on Android 10.
