Chinese tech company Xiaomi has announced the launch of its next-generation of the user interface, the MIUI 12, during the launch event of Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition.
The company revealed that Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Youth Edition, Mi 9 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30, Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 will be the first in a series of devices to get the MIUI 12. The next batch of devices that will get their hands on this interface include Mi Mix 3, Mi 8 series, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro. And the third batch has Mi Mix 2, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi 7A, Redmi 7, Mi CC9, CC9 Pro and CC9e.

Xiaomi plans to roll out a stable version of the MIUI 12 by the end of June this year. The latest interface features Dark Mode 2.0, which will also have wallpaper dimming on Xiaomi smartphones. Through this feature, the MIUI 12 will gradually dim the wallpaper as daylight changes. The UI will adjust the weight and boldness of the front and has adjusted font contrast for dark mode as well. Xiaomi has also revealed that there will be a Sensory Visual Design with the new interface, which will transform Settings page with graphs and visual diagrams.
The company has added new system animations where it will show a smooth transition between horizontal and vertical screen rotation. In addition to this, the app icons will show real-time animations based on gestures. Xiaomi smartphone users will also be able to swipe down on the notification panel to interact with a notification without opening the app.
