Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro Can Feature 108MP Camera
At the Snapdragon Summit happened last year, Xiaomi revealed that the upcoming flagship series, Mi 10 will be launched in the first quarter of 2020. It also confirmed that the flagship series will feature Qualcomm’s newest flagship SoC, Snapdragon 865. Now, there is also confirmation about another model to be launched alongside Mi 10 – the Mi 10 Pro. It was spotted functioning on MIUI 11 nightly build for the Redmi K30 5G. It was also revealed that the device will feature a 66-watt super-fast charging. Now, the reports suggest that both the upcoming flagship devices will sport a 108MP primary camera.

Xiaomi has already launched mobile in the market with Samsung’s 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor in November last year. The Mi CC9 Pro, dubbed as Mi Note 10 Pro internationally, featured a total of five camera sensors that included a 108MP primary sensor, a 20MP super wide-angle sensor, a 5MP telephoto, a 12MP portrait sensor, and a macro sensor. Moreover, there were also leaks suggesting that Xiaomi was working on four devices with a 108MP sensor, codenamed Tucana, Draco, Umi, and Cmi. These devices were then spotted in an update for MIUI’s stock gallery app which introduced support for 108MP photos.
Out of these four devices, Tucana is the Mi Note 10 Pro and Draco is the Mi Mix Alpha – a concept smartphone from the company which was revealed in September 2019. Remaining two devices, Umi and Cmi can be confirmed as Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Currently, there is no information sent out by the brand which makes it unclear what codename goes for which device but one this is for sure, the upcoming devices will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 platform and will function on MIUI 11 based on Android 10
