Xiaomi Mi 9T could get Android 10 as soon as next month!
The Xiaomi Mi 9T (or Redmi K20), one of the better mid-range smartphones in the market currently, is available in China, Europe, India, and several other regions. And thankfully, it seems like users of the phone won’t have to wait too long to get Android 10 on their device, as Xiaomi has said the Mi 9T will receive the update in October.
Compared to other manufacturers, that is a solid turnaround time for Android 10. However, the Redmi K20 series has apparently received the update in China already.
The fact that Xiaomi has put a launch date on the update means they’ll be part of the first wave of Android OEMs to offer Android 10. Android 10’s focus this year is on enhanced privacy and security. Along with this, there will be some more fun updates that will make the user experience better and possible even allow you to tweak how Android works for you. The update will also bring a system-wide dark mode, Smart Reply for messaging apps, overhauled privacy controls, and security updates via the Play Store.
The Xiaomi Mi 9T also has a stacked list of features, offering a Snapdragon 730 processor, a 6.39-inch OLED screen (FHD+) with in-display fingerprint sensor, pop-up selfie camera, flexible triple rear camera layout, and a 4,000mAh battery.
