OnePlus Z Appears on Geekbench With 12GB RAM, Snapdragon 765G SoC

There have been many rumours about a more affordable OnePlus phone, and now a OnePlus device bearing the model number ‘AC2003‘ has been spotted on a Geekbench benchmark listing. This is possibly indicative of the fact that it could be the oft rumoured OnePlus Z, or the OnePlus 8 Lite.

It has been rumoured previously that the OnePlus Z would have a Snapdragon 756G 5G SoC. While there has been no confirmation on whether it will be called the OnePlus Z, considering the fact that the company has just launched the Bullets Wireless Z, the name isn’t too farfetched.

The Geekbench listing displays a score of 612 and 1,955 for the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. The listing also shows the unnamed OnePlus phone running Android 10, and packing an octa-core Qualcomm SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and 12GB of RAM. The codename for the motherboard is also mentioned as ‘lito,’ which is the same name that was spotted on a Geekbench listing of the upcoming OPPO Reno 4. Both the Reno 4 and the new OnePlus device are expected to have the Snapdragon 765G SoC. The OnePlus ‘Z’ is also tipped to sport a flat display, and retain the in-display fingerprint sensor.

The listing shows that the phone may have a 12GB RAM so it could be a premium model. There could also be cheaper variants with lesser RAM, but we have no information on that, yet. According to previous rumours, the OnePlus Z is expected in July, but given the pandemic, the actual launch and sale could be pushed ahead.
