China-based phone maker Xiaomi is possibly going to launch an affordable 5G smartphone under its popular Redmi K30 series. This will be the ‘Lite’ variant of the Redmi K30 series, and could be called the Redmi K30i.
The Redmi K30i is going to reportedly launch at the end of April, and is also going to remain the brand’s primary 5G device till June. According to some reports, this upcoming budget 5G smartphone will sport a 48MP primary lens. This is unlike the 64MP sensor on the Redmi K30. However, the remaining lenses are going to remain the same – 8MP ultra-wide lens and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro photography.
Even the remaining specifications are slated to remain exactly the same. This includes a Snapdragon 765G processor, a big 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD, and a powerful 4,500 mAh battery. The expected pricing of the smartphone could be as low as Yuan 1,799 (Rs 19,500).
While Xiaomi has not confirmed the K30i launch, its current 5G offering in the K30 series are already on sale in China for Yuan 1,999 (roughly Rs 21,750).
