Huawei Mate 30-series Launched: Specs, Features, Price and More

Huawei has announced its Huawei Mate 30 Series at the launch event in Munich which is the world’s first, second-generation 5G smartphone. The Huawei Mate 30 and Huawei Mate 30 Pro is equipped with OLED Huawei Horizon Display, quad-camera setup, and is packed with Kirin 990 5G chipset.

However, Google has confirmed that Mate 30 cannot be sold with licensed Google apps due to the US ban on sales to Huawei. An announcement from the US government confirmed the US export ban of products like Mate 30. Joe Kelly, the spokesman of Huawei assured that Huawei will be continuing to use Andriod OS and ecosystem if there is a permission from the US Government, or else they would strive to develop their operating system and ecosystem.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G

The Mate series boasts a Kirin 990 series chipset and a gigantic 16-core GPU. The Mate 30 is powered by 4200mAh battery, while Mate 30 Pro has 4500mAh battery. Both the phones feature wired and wireless Huawei SuperCharge Technology, the 27W Wireless SuperCharge and the 40W SuperCharge. The new series also offers upgraded reverse wireless charging.

What makes the Mate 30 different from the rest is that it flashes a triple-camera setup that comprises of a 40MP SuperSensing Camera, 16MP Ultra Wide-angle Camera, and an 8MP Telephoto Camera. The Mate 30 Pro also features a revolutionary quad-camera system with the 40MP Cine Camera, 40MP SuperSensing Camera, an 8MP Telephoto Camera, and a 3D Depth Sensing Camera. The 6.53-inch Mate 30 Pro and 6.62-inch Mate are found in various gorgeous colours like Emerald Green, Space Silver, Cosmic Purple, and Black.

Huawei revealed that Mate 30 (8GB+128GB) would cost 799 euros ($884) (INR 62,667) the top-end Mate 30 Pro (8GB+256GB) from 1,099 euros (INR 86,209) and the Mate 30 Pro 5G (8GB+256GB) from 1,199 euros (INR 94,049). It has also spilled the secret of the new Porsche design version that would cost at 2,095 euros (INR 1,64,333).

Apart from Mate 30 series, Huawei has also launched its WATCH GT 2 range of wearables and FreeBuds 3 true wireless Bluetooth earphones.
