Lenovo Announces Z6 Pro 5G Edition at MWC Shanghai 2019
After unveiling the Z6 Pro in China in April this year, Lenovo has finally launched a 5G variant of the device at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Shanghai. The Z6 Pro is a flagship offering by the Chinese tech giant and the successor to the widely popular Lenovo Z5 Pro.
The processor on the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition will be supplemented by an external Snapdragon X50 modem to enable 5G connectivity. The Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Edition also comes with a transparent back, but it is yet unclear if it is actually transparent or an illustrative sticker.
There’s not much difference between the 5G Edition and regular edition when it comes to core specifications. The device sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED display offering FHD+ resolution. The display is integrated with a sixth-generation in-screen fingerprint scanner and bears a waterdrop notch on the top.
Under the hood, the Z6 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset based on 7nm architecture. It is available in three variants with of up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The device is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging. It is also equipped with a liquid cooling system that aids in dissipating heat during longer gaming sessions.
As for the camera, the Z6 Pro has a quad-camera setup. The module comprises of a 48MP main camera, 16MP ultrawide-angle lens, 8MP telephoto sensor, and 2MP super video camera. The device features a 32MP selfie snapper up front with support for AI face recognition.
Pricing and availability details of the Lenovo Z6 Pro are not known yet. The price of the base variant of the regular Z6 Pro starts at 2,899 Yuan ( approx.Rs 30,000) and goes up to 4,999 Yuan ( approx. Rs 51,800) for the top-end model.
