Poco M2 Pro is going to launch in India on July 7, according to a Poco India reveal on its official social media channels. The company, a sub-brand of Xiaomi in India, has sent out media invites for the launch that will take place virtually.
The Poco M2 Pro is Poco’s second smartphone in India this year after Poco X2, which was launched in February. The new Poco phone will come with a quad rear camera setup, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, according to rumours.
According to the Poco India Twitter account, the launch will take place at 12pm (noon) IST through the social media platforms of the company. In the teaser, the Poco M2 Pro is seen having a quad rear camera setup that is in square shape. Flipkart has also created a microsite that shows the back of the new smartphone, without revealing any other specifications.
Just last month, Poco M2 Pro had revealed itself on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with a model number M2003J6CI. That same model number was also spotted on the Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance sites. These suggested that the new phone would come with Bluetooth v5.0 as well as dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity options. Plus, as we mentioned, the device might also feature the Snapdragon 720G SoC.
According to other rumours, it is likely that the Poco M2 Pro could be a tweaked version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro launched in India in March. While we don’t have any other details on the pricing or offers, stay tuned to this space as we bring you more updates.
