Realme has highlighted its name in the smartphone industry by offering affordable devices with quality specs and decent functioning. The latest smartphone launched by Realme is Realme C3 seems to meet the expectations of being called an entry-level smartphone.
The Realme C3 belongs to the C lineup which is the most affordable segment from Realme. It comes with MediaTek Helio G70 processor and other features like 4GB RAM, 20:9 aspect ratio, and much more. The Chinese smartphone brand, Realme also offers devices for the various segments in the industry but it is mainly known to deliver impressive features at an affordable price. So, can the Realme C3 continue its legacy?
Realme C3: What looks good and what looks bad
- In the first look itself, your attention goes towards a massive 6.5-inch display with HD+ display quality which is impressive for a device with affordable price.
- It features a dual-camera setup at the back with 12+2MP lens combination which is a bit disappointing looking at the camera quality Realme offers.
- It functions on MediaTek Helio chipset, which is a good thing.
- It sports 5000mAh battery which is very satisfying.
- There could have been much better colour options for the device or maybe a better gradient finish.
So, let’s check out whether Realme C3 is the best device in the C series?
Design and Display
Realme C3 features a plastic body with a little bit of strength and the texture on the back makes it easy to grip. The device looks cheap due to such a look and the company offers two colours for the device – Blazing Red and Frozen Blue.
Realme has also offered micro USB port on C3, which makes it look older and the 3.5mm headphone jack just adds to it. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 20:9, which is great while watching videos, movies, and TV shows. However, the display performs well under the roof but gets into trouble when taken out during sunny times.
Realme C3 sports a dual-camera setup at the back with 12MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary sensor. It comes with camera modes like HDR, Night Portrait, Slow-mo, and more for remarkable pictures all day long.
During good lighting conditions, the images are good and they offer sharpness for every detail. The background AI blur feature works okay and the macro shots function pretty well.
During low light, the camera struggles in giving crystal clear clarity without any details and they are dark. By turning on nightscape, it is able to deliver some clarity through artificial light but they are not clear enough to be called impressive clicks.
The front camera of the device features a 5MP camera and the images taken from this lens are normal images with lighter shades.
Realme C3 packs a powerful 5000mAh battery which can easily give you days of usage with gaming, calling, browsing, clicking pictures and other activities on the device. Moreover, it charges very quickly which makes it easy to charge on the go and you just need to spend 4 hours without a device for 100% battery power.
Processor and Software
The Realme C3 comes with a new MediaTek Helio G70 processor making it a worthy product while watching a movie and surfing the internet. Normal apps such as Whatsapp, Facebook, etc, function properly as they do in any device and it shows no sign of lagging during any activity.
Playing games on this device is not a wholesome entertainment as it does not support high-quality resolutions and graphics. But, in normal graphics, the device extremely well and the battery backup is surprising as well.
Realme uses OPPO’s ColorOS skin for Android and in-house skin that resembles stock Android. The new UI is much more engaging, organized and it supports the large screen of the device pretty well.
Depending on the features and price of the device, it is a decent work from the yards of Realme. It comes in two variants 3GB RAM & 32GB Storage for Rs. 6,999 and 4GB RAM & 64GB memory for Rs. 7,999. It features a 6.5-inch display, MediaTek Helio G70 processor, the dual-camera setup on the rear side with 12MP + 2MP lens, a 5MP front camera and a powerful 5000mAh battery.
Considering the price, features of the device are less but they perform extremely well when put to test. At a price of Rs. 7000, it is a fair deal but if your budget is more flexible, you can always consider other devices like the Realme 5 series which gives more performance parameters.
