Reliance Jio continues to lead Download speed rankings in January 2020 with 20.9Mbps speed despite the fact that, there is a dip in speed if you compare it with November 27.2Mbps.
On the other hand, mobile networks like Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone recorded 7.9Mbps, 6.5Mbps, and 7.6Mbps respectively. Compared to the other networks, Reliance Jio offered three times more speed.

TRAI computes the average speed using the data collected through MySpeed application and it is measured on a real-time basis.
Even though Vodafone and Idea confirmed their merge in 2018, the data for both the mobile networks were calculated separately as the integration of networks of both the companies is currently on.
Vodafone might not have performed extremely well in download speed but it tops the upload speed chart with data speed of 6Mbps, followed by Reliance Jio at 4.6Mbps, and Airtel at 3.8Mbps.
Currently, Reliance Jio leads the telecom sector with 370million users and with a 32.1 market share. Reliance Jio recently posted a net profit of Rs1350 Crore in the final quarter of 2019. Moreover, the company has also garnered around 14.8million users in the third quarter of the financial year.
