ASUS ROG Phone 2: The New Era of Gaming Will Launch in July
ASUS set a benchmark for how gaming phones should be when it launched the Asus ROG phone, And even though it was more expensive than most other gaming smartphones in its league, it still managed to grab quite the eyeballs and market share. And now after the successful arrival of another gaming smartphone in the market, the Xiaomi Blackshark, ASUS has yet again come up with the best of the best to give the former some tough competition – the Asus ROG Phone 2.
The ASUS ROG phone 2 has been confirmed to have a 120 Hz refresh rate, which will allow the ROG Phone 2 to run games like “Under One Man” by PUBG creators that require a high refresh rate. This will be a substantial upgrade over the existing ROG Phone with 90Hz refresh rate for an OLED screen.
A smartphone display with a higher refresh rate is a visual treat for users, as proved by the recently launched OnePlus 7 Pro that introduced a 90Hz screen to masses, irrespective of whether they like gaming or not. However, this is not the first gaming phone to have a 120Hz refresh rate, as the Razer Phone and Razer Phone 2 has already debuted screens with the this.
The device is a combination of 120Hz resolution display, Snapdragon 855 + processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. These features will support smooth typing, shimmery touch, faster read and writes speeds and 4K display in a single small device.
The device will be a flagship offering by the brand and is not only about its gaming prowess. Asus ROG phone 2 has a 48-megapixel primary sensor and Quad HD+ display that will improve the device ranking among regular users as well. The battery of the device is a whopping 5,000mAh with fast-charging jack and adapter. The device is expected to launch in July this year.
