Samsung launched Galaxy Tab S6 in August this year in the global markets. New teasers on Samsung’s social media accounts in India revealed that the flagship tablet will hit the Indian market soon. The Galaxy Tab S6 is a high-end tablet that comprises of flagship features fulfilling every expectation of the customer that went official in August sporting a Snapdragon 855 SoC, a new S Pen and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 touts a 10.5-inch WQXGA Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. There is a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel lens with f/2.2 aperture and 123-degree field of view. There’s an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling. The tablet comes up with quad speakers and Dolby Atmos support but lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset with Adreno 640, 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of onboard storage. The storage can be expanded to up to 1TB through a microSD card. The tab is backed by a 7,040mAh battery with 15W fast charging and runs on Android 9 Pie with One UI 1.5. With the new S-Pen that has a 0.35mAh power unit, the tab can run continuously for 10 hours. This permits you to use the stylus to perform certain actions such as taking selfies or controlling a remote. The new S-Pen touts an integrated Bluetooth remote and simultaneously delivers a shutter button for the camera, air gestures and a clicker when making presentations. Other added features include the Handwritten notes that can be transformed into digital texts, exported to MS Word and make instantaneous notes or doodles while watching a video.
The Tab S6 has also included a dedicated DeX key to the Tab S6 Book Cover Keyboard, making it possible to enable DeX mode with a single tap. Samsung confirmed that DeX has been optimized to enhance better touch functionality and app support. The new Game Booster feature edges artificial intelligence that will assist in checking which apps and processes are taking both battery and performance to the highest rate and thereby optimize the resource load for the best gaming experience.
The weight of Samsung Galaxy S6 stands at 420 grams that measure 244.5 x 159.5 × 5.7mm. Connectivity options include 4G LTE (optional), Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, a POGO pin and a USB-C port. There has been no news about its price yet. The Tab S6 starts at USD 649 (approx Rs 45,000) in the US, so its India pricing is expected to be within the same range.
