OnePlus 8 Spotted Outdoor; Resembles OnePlus 7Pro
After the OnePlus 7T series was recently unveiled, a series of rumours and leaks now suggest that the company is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 8 series. Even though the smartphone manufacturer may take its time to launch the new series, high-resolution renders and leaks have revealed a lot of information about it already.
Early renders of the series have shown that the design of OnePlus 8 is similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro, but there are a couple of changes that show the differences between the old and the new generation. The similarity lies in the overall design that sports a curved edge display with a glass-metal combo. Other than the design, the rest of the features have changed massively.
At the back, the triple camera array has been reorganized, with the LED flash now sitting in between the lenses. This hints at a possibility of a new camera setup with the 108-megapixel main camera. There are changes in the front camera system, but this time there’s no pop-up camera system. A dual hole-punch cut-out similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is visible that’s in a slightly off-center position.
This OnePlus 8 prototype comes with a Thunder Purple gradient colour which was last seen on the OnePlus 6T. The prototype device flanks its 5G network compatibility with a logo positioned at the back. OnePlus is seriously committed to bringing 5G connectivity in markets across the world but we are still not assured of such benefits in India.
While this could be one of the early prototypes, it seems that OnePlus aims to bring its flagship in early 2020, which is the same time around which Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy S11 series. We have news already that Qualcomm will be rolling out its flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset as early as December 3 and OnePlus could aim to get the early-mover’s advantage with its next-gen OnePlus 8 series phones.
