Vivo Reportedly Files Patent For Super FlashCharge

Vivo Super FlashCharge

There’s much innovation happening in the smartphone world this year. A new trademark application from Vivo has just popped up on EUIPO (European Intellectual Property Office). It seems that the Chinese phone maker is readying a new fast-charging tech under the name ‘Super FlashCharge’.

According to previous rumours, it can be assumed that the upcoming fast-charging technology from vivo could reach 55W as per previous rumors.

This could possibly be on the back of vivo readying a high-end smartphone with competing charging tech on board. Right now, the highest so far is 65W on the OPPO Reno Ace, but even if Vivo is coming up with 55W, that is also pretty fast. It would be entirely possible to then top a 4,000 mAh battery in about half an hour.

Just two months ago, the company launched the vivo U20. The device, which flaunts a triple rear camera setup and Snapdragon 675 SoC, also boasts a ginormous 5,000mAh battery, possibly among the biggest in the smartphone business. The Vivo U20 also supports proprietary fast charging, so it’s not a surprise that the company is trying to top its charging game and bank on performance it make it shine.
